Ian Clift MRICS - Commercial Director

Ian joined Sir Robert McAlpine in 1986 where he studied Quantity Surveying and became a Chartered Surveyor. After eight years as Senior Surveyor with McAlpines he moved to Tolent Construction where he became Commercial Manager responsible for all major northern projects such as Sunderland AFC’s Football Academy, Sage's £60 million headquarters and the £25 million Echo 24 Apartment building.

Being one of the founding partners in Brims, Ian operates as Commercial Director overseeing all financial aspects of projects and company finances.

Jason Wood ICIOB - Contracts Director

Jason embarked on his career in the construction industry when he joined Tolent Construction in 1987. Spending nineteen years with Tolent he progressed through the company to become Project Manager. His final role saw him oversee the pre-construction phase of the Newcastle City Library PFI project after which in 2006 he left to establish Brims Construction. Jason has overall responsibility for all the construction projects that the company undertakes through his role as Contracts Director.

Richard Wood BSc (Hons) ICIOB - Marketing & Bid Director

Richard was educated at Northumbria University where he studied Building Management. He joined Tolent Construction in 1993 and spent thirteen years progressing through the company from Engineer to Project Manager working on many Landmark projects such as the £15 million Time Central project in Newcastle. After helping establishing Brims in 2006, Richard now has responsibility for marketing and business development.
